yes to add to our flock! She is a Lakenvelder!! she is beautiful and her name is Miss. Bianca.. I will have to post pics later I am just excited! had to share with the only people that understand getting excited about chickens!

OH, those are GORGEOUS chickens! Make SURE you quarantine her for 30 days before putting in with your current flock, though! It's extremely important to do so - and congrtulations!!!

whoa 30 days? I thought one week... but this is the first chicken I have got to put in with the flock that isn't a chick I have to brood... she came from someone who lost their flock to a family of raccoons and she was the only survivor.

Yes, 30 days. Better safe than sorry! Some diseases have an incubation period of 30 days. Which means, if this chicken was exposed to something on the day you got her, it could be up to 30 days before she shows signs/symptoms.
