We got some quailllllllll

Okay, okay, okay, I went to a poultry clinic with my friend and her dad and these Japanese quail were being given away for free! What'd ja 'spect me da do,turn down a free quail? It was one per family unless he hadmore after everybody had one who wanted one, so my friend and I got Male and female and are keeping them together. I get the firstturn with them at my house. They're Bella and Note(noe-tay) Bene(be-nay) Bella's full name is Isabella. Any tips on young Japanese quail?

No tips here. But gosh you are very lucky, wished that I came across some deal like that. Free is a great price.

Are they all feathered out?
I keep mine in a rabbit cage the kind with the plastic bottom. They eat game bird feed. Love treats like choped fruits and veggies, hard boiled eggs. They will also need extra calcium. Clean water daily. Any other questions feel free to ask there are many on here better at Japanese quail then me best of luck

Coturnix quail (japanese quail, pharoah quail, stubble quail, jumbo quail, tibetan, A & M etc you name it) are wonderful birds!

I'm glad you got some!!! You can read a good deal of info about them on my post at the top of this forum where it says something like "other fowl info" click on it and you'll see my Coturnix educatonal post

Be forwarned it's long winded and lots of pics lol.
