We have a baby - almost - lol ** UPDATE **

** UPDATE ** - she is still resting in the bator - I managed to get her cleaned up, I chipped away the rest of the shell and noticed that she is barely stuck to the shells membrain- so I got the scissors and carefully cut away the shell. The yoke is only about the size of a dime. She is breathing fine and is drying off slowly in the bator - I still have her on the washcloth so the yoke does not get stuck to the wire or anything. I am hoping she pulls through this alright.

Don't feel too badly (yeah, easier said than done). I had this happen to one in my last hatch. I don't understand why it happens either. Mine were all on time, not early at all, and all the rest hatched out perfectly and cleanly. Just the one hatched as a 'premie'. Sadly, mine didn't make it, but it never opened its eyes or stood or anything, only hatched and lay there breathing. I didn't cull, just moved it to a nursery brooder and it passed during the night. I hope yours makes it!

she is hanging in there - breathing is normal , she keeps opening her eys and going back to sleep, and she will open her mouth all the way every once in awhile she is starting to dry off abit.
One of the other eggs has pipped so hopefully that baby will have a better hatch. Egg number three is still resting and not doing anything yet.

Thats good to hear. Hope everything goes well with this hatch
