Hello!
We have been raising a little family of little feathered angels since April of 2012. We started with 7: 4 Buff Orphingtons: Stella, Honey, Winnie and Roxy.... and 3 Easter Eggers: Fluffy, Sydney and our boy Friday.
Two years later, nearly to the day the first 7 came into the world, we had a new little arrival... Olive, Friday and Winnie's little girl and on the same day Olive broke through the shell at 2am, we adopted: Ruby (an Easter Egger), Summer (a Buff) and Abbie (a Plymouth Barred Rock).... all who had just hatched into the world 2 days prior. Winnie was a superb mom to all, despite their different appearances. A year and a couple of months following that, came Eva... Abbie and Friday's biological daughter, but lovingly sat on, birthed, and raised by the #1 mom, Winnie. About 3 weeks later, came Hugo, Stella and Friday's little boy.... just as sweet as his dad, and beautiful as his mom.
We love them all more than we can say, and for the last 51/2 years, they have taken a place in nearly every one of our conversations....
I am joining today for the purpose of posting a question regarding sour crop, which is currently taking it's toll on poor Ruby.
