We have a family of 14 little ones.....

Welcome to BYC! Glad you've joined us!

Spur crop is one of those things that there is some debate on treating. Some say to vomit the bird by holding them upside down, at just the right angle, while massaging the crop to have them empty their crop. This can be risky as they can aspirate it in to their lungs. Others say to restrict feeding and simply massage the crop to try to help move things through and add apple cidar vinegar (with the mother) to their water. I personally used the first method when treating a young pullet for it. I didn't have any trouble and it only took about a week to competely clear it out (she had a grass clogging her crop). Her coop was only partially blocked thankfully so she was still able to pass some food. I hope you can help her through it!
