Well, the first batch went bust (literally, & stinky-ily, one by one!) They were shipped, so it wasn't a huge suprise. Our hatch rate with shipped eggs is a consistant 0%. Yeah, I'm stubborn, and learn lessons hard, LOL, so I keep trying.
But, after the last batch, we decided to just put some of our own polish eggs under and see what happens. Since she'd already been broody for about a month, we didn't want to delay geting something under there!
Voila! Three little White Crested Blues hatched yesterday, and we have one this morning, though it's a little new yet for judging color.

The 4H DD is thrilled. We've not hatched our own before, we never had roosters around when we had broody gals. So this is a super exciting adventure!
