Great dogs, very protective of my wife also...

Debi! German Shepherds are wonderful dogs - souns like a wonderful win-win!!! Like Blue Skys -- I can't trust our with the chickens - my golden retriever can be trusted because chasing them would require burning a calorie.. *LOL* - but Koko the GSD fiunds them too tempting.

It is just wonderful that you've found her and that she's found you!

If she's still nursing, be careful about tick treatments. My understanding when I fostered is that that stuff can get into the milk and hurt the puppies. We held off on all of it until the pups were weaned.
