Every dog and cat I've EVER owned has been an abandoned animal: dog just walked up to the house but someone saw him being dumped, strange cats meowing on the front porch, dogs seen hanging around for days at the exit of the Interstate near us, kittens dropped by a feral on the front porch of a house near the local airport, a young kitten seen in headlights in the middle of the local intersection in pouring rain, 2-3 day old kittens under my workplace and found by the maintenance guy, year old dog nearly starved and hiding UNDER the lawn mower blade, etc., etc. And I am talking about 45 years of animals. Only way to go for me. Currently only two dogs and one cat.
