WE HAVE EGGS! Now, what color are they? What breed is this hen?

We found her nest!! In our hayroom of all places. We've never seen her in there. 4 small pinkish/tan eggs. Or what color would you call them? The big white is from the grocery store.

Does this give any hint to breed now?

She was found sitting on rotten dark dark brown eggs.

Now that she's at our farm, how do we encourage her to lay more eggs?

i don/t know if penedesencas come in blue or if that is a bantam if they come in bantam, but that would be my guess, due to the pale whitish ear lobes... anyone else hazard a guess? she sure is a beauty!

Thanks, I'd like to get more like her. She was a rescue case. My parents found her sitting on eggs at one of their rental houses but couldn't bring her to us at that time. 2 MONTHS later, she was still sitting on her eggs and when they lifted her off the eggs, the eggs exploded (rotten) one by one.

Thanks. What is a crelle OEG? What does OEG stand for?

And where can I get Penadesenca chickens? I've not heard of this breed before.

She looks game but if shes game she would lay a light color egg.
She might have took over another hens nest...
