We have nest boxes. Now what?

You might want to consider blocking off the boxes for a few more weeks until they are closer to laying age to make sure they don't decide the boxes look better for sleeping than laying eggs.

How early is too early? I have pullets that are 14 to 15 weeks old now, and I was thinking I should locate some nest boxes within the next couple of weeks.

Something I had to do with mine, since they started laying eggs in the corner of the coop, and I think they layed some from the roost too, but I had a movable nest box that I built out of an old cat litter bucket for my bantams, I would put it right where they started laying eggs. Eventually they finally started laying in that nest. Then every day after that I would move the nest box a couple inches closer to where I wanted them to lay eggs and I evenutally took that one out and they started in the regular nest boxes. That first one is pretty exciting though!!!! Good Luck
