We Have Peeps Under Our Broody!

The eggs under Frieda the RIR are peeping! She is sitting on 5 eggs: 2 are Ameraucana, and 3 are a cross of RIR and Ameraucana. It’s amazing, 21 days later and peep, peep, peep, right on time! This is her first time going broody, and our first time with a broody hen. Mama Frieda is only 8 months old. We are excited to see what our chickens' babies will look like!

Very cool! I also have a broody due any day.I think I put the eggs under mine on the nov.1 or 2 I candled yesterday.One egg looks like the air sac is too big.

Ooo! We went home from work for lunch and saw a little yellow head poking out from under Mama! How exciting! I tried to take pictures, but the flash didn't work very well in there. I'll try again with a light tonight and post! Yay! Frieda is a Mom! I don't think Papa Mochi even knows yet!
