My first sebastopol baby has pipped! Woo Hoo

I checked the eggs last night to spray them down and I held the egg to my ear just to see if anything was in there and I could feel the little bugger jumping around.

This morning the shell has been pipped. I have two more I am hoping to pip in the next couple of days.

I'm soooooo excited!!!!!!!

I have another six eggs that I checked for fertility yesterday also and so far 5 of the 6 look good. The last may just be a little later to develope, it's only been 4-5 days for it.

Babies, Babies, I'm gonna have some babies.

I don't think my digital hygrometer is working right. Does anyone know anything about the old fashioned thermometer with a wet bulb?

Are the temperatures supposed to be pretty much equal to mean the humidity is high???

Woohoo!! Goslings!! I'd be doing the happy dance, too!

By the way, I'm totally stealing the word "pippage"

I thought that equal temps meant 100% humidity? But I could be totally wrong.

ETA: A chart I found on google indicates that yes, if the temps are equal the humidity is around 100%

We will not open the incubator...... we will not open the incubator...... we will not open the incubator.

I have five seb. eggs in the bator now. How long have yours taken to pip? I also have two buff eggs which are larger, so I think they will take the full 32 days.

My baby finally hatched after a day and a half of waiting. I believe it is a girl.

I will post a photo later tonight once she has had a nap and dries off.

I'm a mommy.......
