Our first attempt at hatching... Day 19.5 we have 5 out of 7 pipping... Mini advance bator... Is it normal to start pipping so early?? Either way, we are stoked

Woohoo congrats. Don't worry if they are piping a little early as long as they are healthy when they are born. Mine pipped late like 3-5 days late.

If they are pipping early, it sounds like your temp. is a little too high. But that's not important now. For future reference, it is good to know when to stop turning the eggs so you give the chicks a chance to get "situated," so they can hatch out ok.

Not juat pipped early... Had our first hatched chick early as well.. Id post a pic but the image embed thing doesnt work very well off my phone

I wouldn't say that it's 'too' early, as long as they seem alright (your temp might be a bit high, but this kind of thing has a lot of variables so it's hard to tell.) I had a chick hatch on day 17, a good two days before the rest even pipped, and she was perfectly healthy
