We just picked up our chicks. First timers here. Nine dark bramahs and ten RIRs. We're excited!

Cute! We're on our first batch of chicks right now too. They're about 2 weeks old and man do they grow fast! We have 11 Easter Eggers and various Wyandottes.

Our chick are chasing a moth (and its shadow) that got trapped in their new home with them. Simple pleasures in life.

I am loving the chicks' antics! Chasing bugs is hilarious. The other day I put a clump of sod in their brooder. After they got over their paranoia of something new they were pulling strands of grass and chasing each other. So funny! And at only 2 weeks they are flying a bit, it's so fascinating!

Our chicks seem to be doing well in their second day here. We found a few cases of pasty butt which were lovingly relieved of them. I found a piece of a small curved limp with a Y in it and placed it in the brooder to see if they will roost. Having lots of fun!

We have RIR and Dark Brahma. 19 in all. We lost one to the feed store cat on the first day. The rest are going strong.
