Well maybe not quite yet. But what was our back yard is now a big 'ole pond. The ducks and geese love it, but it's starting to make me nervous. This part of the yard floods regularly, but it is now approaching our duck pen, the highest it has been in years. Hopefully I won't have to "evacuate" the ducks out of their coop. I do consider myself lucky. My house and family are in no danger, unlike others in our local bottom lands and in other parts of the country. My thoughts and prayers are with all affected by any of the recent natural disasters.

Is it just rainwater, or what?
Mainly. You can't really see from the pictures, but the trees line the banks of a creek that runs through the yard. It's all backed up due to the excessive rain we had. The Mississippi is supposed to crest at near record levels which will probably make things worse around here, unfortunately.

Wow, that's a ton of water! The weather in this country lately has been so strange. Keep dry and safe.
Strange is right! Thankfully the water is starting to recede. Hopefully it will stay that way. Happy New Year to you!
