or a theif in the night because I just looked outside and my entire chicken run is missing. No sign of it anywhere, but it is still dark. Of course my chickens are no where to be found either.

I cannot imagine what kind of wind we had to blow, not just over, but away a whole chain link dog run. I hope I can find it and my chickens when it gets light out, but not real hopeful for the chickens.

Feeders and all are in the exact same spot we left them. Nothing else is blown in the yard. It is a mystery.

That's not good. We had wicked wind, and the lights blinked on and off for an hour...and we're in the middle of town! I'm hoping my chicken facility is okay, because it's on a hilly. windswept area...but the houses are all against a wood.

Hope everything is okay! You can get some of those big corkscrew anchors for it when you get it back, or chain cinder blocks along its base.

Well....we found it. About 3 pastures over. Probably 1/3 of a mile away from its original location.

No sign of any chickens except my favorite hen. We found her in the mouth of a neighbors puppy. She didn't make it. I already buried her. I am so sick of the dogs (mine included) killing every chicken that has ever been outside of a cage without us watching them. We could pen our dog up but there is still two dogs that belong to two different neighbors that roam free. It is hard to tell them, pen your dog up or suffer the consequences when I have had a free roaming dog for over 2 years.

We have to wait until later in the morning to go next door and ask the neighbor if he minds us driving out in his pasture to retrieve our now, likely crumpled up (can't tell because it was too far over his fence line) chicken run.

So anyway, mystery solved by a now chickenless owner.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I was up half the night checking my coop, that wind was so gusty. Lucky for us, the coop is attached to the shed, which buffered the coop. My run has the tall wood fence post buried in the ground, so their run was safe too.

I am kicking myself for not having it staked down, but we have had several wind storms before and didn't have any issues with it. I didn't watch the weather yesterday so I didn't even know about this one. I get my next chickens in Decemember (my first show quality, yay!) and you can bet I am going to have that thing locked down tigher than fort knox before I bring them home.

We found one hen alive! Our splash. She is about the wildest, most unfriendly hen we have. I guess that is why she made it. She probably ran as she could. The other girls just probably stood around not knowing they were in danger. My poor favorite hen was broody so I think she tried to stay with the nest. That is why the neighbors dog had her early this morning.

. We're in NE Texas to...it was so windy last night! Glad our girls are okay, and hope you find yours!

It had to be some wind to move that thing. I have the exact same run, and I can't even move it.
Maybe you had a tornado?

a mini Tornado..... that didnt come very close?
I have my run next to my barn, In the front of the coop, so I guess I wouldn't know, but I still have to say, that had to be SOME wind!!!!
