so do you think i am right that they are white leghorns or are they white rocks or something else?

Could be white rocks but I think White leghorn is more likely but on a happier note I think that little red one is a rhode island red. As for the white ones, if the earlobes turn red then its a white rock but I think the leg color is wrong for a white rock. Don't quote me on that.

When my Orpingtons were chicks they were a deeper gold color, not yellow.

If you compare the photos of the chicks, you can see even at one day, the shape of the body is not that of a Buff Orpington. The back is sloped downward in the yellow day old chick, and when it is older, the tail is held downward in white chicken. The Buff Orpingtons have a level back with an upright tail even when very young.

sorry to say that not a Orpington..
White Orpingtons and Buff Orpingtons are to have shanks and toes that are pinkish white and the beak should be pinkish white to. It isnt a Leghorn eather it might be a Rock or Rock cross.
Chris..

I have both white leghorns and rocks about the same age. Yours looks more like my rocks than my leghorns. Which to me they look a lot alike. I tell mine apart because my rocks are pretty beafy compared to the leghorns. I think the leghorns when they are older will stand taller (as in more errect) and will be lankier. My guess, I'm not expert.
