We processed our first bird today! GRAPHIC PICTURES!

Great job, Jeremy!!! Thanks for sharing. Nice photos. Looks just like the way my great grandmother did her chickens. Maybe now we'll have that processing workshop next year???

Dawn, be sure to share that recipe with us all.

Renee, Missed you at the picnic this year. We all had a great time ... hope you can join us next year.

Well, I will soon venture down this same road except for I will be processing some muscovy ducks. It will be my first time doing this sort of thing and I am looking forward to it. The only reason I am doing this is because I got an awesome deal, 8 ducks for $15, and I couldn't pass it up... I am try to sell 2 alive and have already made a deal to sell 2 dressed... it cost me close to $40 if I include the cost of gasoline and food for a week... I hopefully will get my money back from the 4 and then 4 for my freezer...

Jeremy! I'm so proud of you two, you're sooo brave! I've helped processed wild turkey and pheasant before, but as I mentioned at our event I don't think I'd be brave enough to do one of my chickens..... CONGRATS! Hope you have a nice bottle of wine for Friday!
