We Quit Cigarettes

That's just on weekends. I love cooking so I'm fine with it. I also cook the dogs dinner some days 😂 cooking makes me happy

OMG!! I would die if I had to cook that much!! I get exhausted just cooking one meal and it always takes me at least an hour sometimes two!! I would die lol but that’s awesome you enjoy it!!!

@Kiki here we are day later and post #1171 still talking about cooking and food. I won’t say another word. 🤭
Congrats on doing a good job so far even though your crying is alittle over the top. 😉

...and fat.
I've been reading labels for decades.
Low sodium usually means higher fat, and visa versa.

Still not a book.....and library books are free(well, my taxes pay for them).
Hard to get to the library for me. I could buy all the books, but it's too many and I would need to put them somewhere.

I'm reading about 2 books every week. I'm trying to get to 150+ by the end of this year. I love reading it's an outlet for me.

They do it on purpose!! They have very expensive food scientists working to figure out exactly what ratio of each to use to make it taste the best and even exactly what crispness level of a chip to use, exactly how fizzy your soda should be, etc. to make it taste the best and get you hooked! It’s why food is so addictive. They work hard to make sure that it is.

They even figured out that people really like things that are crunchy on the outside and soft or melty on the middle so that’s part of why Oreos and such are so popular and addictive.

And did you ever wonder why Cheetos and cheese puffs and such melt in your mouth? It’s so you think there’s nothing there/that you haven’t eaten any and keep eating and eating them. It’s why you can eat a whole bag and not even know.

Ever wonder why flat soda or a stale chip tastes so bad? They work hard to find the perfect pressure point for that Dorito or the perfect fizziness for your Coke.

It’s big, big business. And it’s part of why it’s so hard to give up processed foods. They are extremely addictive. And they want it that way because it makes them tons of money.

We have tons of libraries around here yet I’ve bought tons of books  haven’t in a while though but only because I currently have sooooooo many. It’s ridiculous.

When I was in the ICU two weeks ago for a week, I was reading every single day because there was nothing else to do. It was actually quite peaceful reading in the hospital because I just shut the door and the world goes away. Books bring me to another world especially if I'm dealing with health issues, it makes me forget about them.
