We Quit Cigarettes

She hasn’t moved or taken food or water since Friday night. She is also just shy of 15 with cancer. Occasional vomiting. It doesn’t get easier even when you know it’s coming.
I'm so sorry :hugs Maybe just lay on the floor with her and read a book to her or watch a movie with her on a tablet or phone. It's so hard to watch dogs be in this state, I've gone through it. I just made sure his last days were his best days. That even included giving him pain pills so that we could play ball one last time.

I've been thinking about this.
I never want to do this again so I need to make sure I get it right this time.
I don't really want to be on this for any longer than I have to though.

I think the 6 month version is more for people that couldn't put the cigarettes down on day 7.
Yes. It is.

my doctor is an osteopath. He sat me down this year when I asked for chantix and explained some things. He said the first method of Chantix was quit on day 7/8, and stay quit. Come off the medicine after a pack.

people couldn’t always do it, so they re-approved it under the “take it and quit when you want and stay on longer” version. He felt like anything other than quitting on that day 7/8 and then coming off the meds is a drug company-favoring process and not a patient-favoring process.

still, talk to your doctor. Especially since last time it may have helped to stay on longer.

how did you quit before (What day...) and when did you quit the medicine? Were you as mentally prepared last time?

I still have weird dreams, but since I've been reading before bed and off Wellbutrin I haven't had any night terrors. Maybe it tires me out enough that I don't have wild dreams.

My dad said when I spent the night a month ago that I screamed at him and stared at him because he got the dog out of the bed I was in 😂 he said it creeped him out and he was scared he was going to give me a heart attack.
I've heard of people getting in cars and driving while sleeping on some meds! They wake up and don't know where they are... I'd freak out.

See!? Now you’re making me never want to take anything ever!!!
This is while it's against the Kiki Law to Google a potential medicine for 'maybe' side effect information.
You will convince yourself you will get them all.

Just don't do it.
What else is Kiki Law? :pop

Ok fine.
It's the weekend so you can stay online.
She's already gone I think

:lau yup! Although I was still texting Kiki for a while 😂

She will be back...watch.

NOPE. :D

I finally ate like 10, showered, and went to bed. Not sleep because I couldn’t sleep despite putting my phone down a while before haha I know phones are supposed to keep you awake but honestly I think mine helps me sleep because I always do the same routine before I go to sleep so without it, my body was like “wtf!?” 😂🙈

Hey Kiki, just remembered a technique that may be helpful. It is called 4 x 4 breathing. If you are feeling panicky/anxious/overwhelmed etc. try this technique for deep breathing. Draw the breath in while counting to 4, hold for a count of 4, then expel the breath for the count of 4. Repeat as necessary.

I think I’ve heard of a similar thing but it was like 7 5 3 or maybe a different order but point being, different numbers for some reason? But this one sounds much better haha

Yes! The act of counting though makes it particularly helpful for anxiety because it forces you to just concentrate on the breathing exercise and not think about other stuff so much.
Absolutely. Sure helps me for that very reason.

I should have done this yesterday when I was hyperventilating 😂

Each breath has a movement. I agree. I love yoga. It's just hard to do while driving.
I like the work out too! But only within a home or studio scenario. I am not doing downward dog or something in the middle of the grocery store if I am having a random panic attack :gig

:lau :gig :lau

I'd do it in the grocery store and then I would pee in my pants.

Do it! I dare you!! :lau

It’s so good to hear you have a doctor that advocates for the patients and is not just all about pushing drugs!

I'm a rare species... Just because this happens to me doesn't mean it will happen to you. I'm just special. If I told you it all, you'd be shocked I'm still alive 😂
