My brother in law was even skinnier than me and struggles similarly with mental health. He started taking meds and gained 40lb.

Yea we had a laugh about it. It's because I'm often dizzy and sometimes pass out.
He said drink more water and eat more salt.. I said I don't know how I could possibly do more of either. I don't think that has anything to do with my dizziness but it's hard to find a doctor that will take you seriously when you're a young and "healthy" person.

The salt raises blood pressure. If that doctor is not listening FIND ONE THAT WILL.
I was sick a loooooong time before I found my diabetes....no the doctors did not find it....long story. But anyway it took me a long time to also find a specialist that would see me without a note that says I can see a doctor.
Totally worth the fight though.

Honestly though I started seeing one a few weeks ago and I thought it was going to be terrifying and scary and impossible but it really was none of those things. I love her. And she’s helping.

Yesterday we literally talked about animals most of the visit.

She got super excited when she found out I had bettas haha but she’s given a lot of good advice too and has been really helpful but it’s not rushed or forced or anything.

ANYWAY.

My point is I put this off for months and months (hell, years technically) because I was terrified and honestly now I regret it. I wish I would have gone sooner. It’s the best thing I ever did.

I did have to have my dad call for me because I knew I never would but I don’t regret going for one second.

So if you’re scared about it or whatever, don’t be. I think it will really help and they go at your own pace so you’re not pressured or anything to talk about anything you don’t want to.

Do you guys have insurance? Ours I think covers it but I will have to find something else when I go off it next month.

I just had a cardiologist stress test today and an echocardiogram last week. I find out if they were normal on Friday.
If they don't show anything then I'm done for now.. I hate hospitals and doctors and tests.
Can't say I didn't try.
