Yes, people eat them, they are a delicacy, i was not kidding about that. I just knew you couldn't do it.

I kinda used this recipe, but added potatoes and carrots. He was in the crockpot all day and smelled divine. I did take the meat off the bone before serving (for the sake of my kids) and the meat literally fell off the bone. I was very surprised that it was not tough at all and actually very delicious. I can't wait to eat the Marans now. Does anyone know how good they are for eating?
