We actually still have the one BBW hen, Crazy Cranberry "CC". We are still debating on her LOL. She is not getting TOO huge, but it is funny to watch her walk beside Surprise because CC waddles LOL.

Surprise is getting closer, but still will not let us touch her.

Then maybe turkey hens will become more friendly like pullets as they mature and start to lay eggs. Or Surprise's personality is just shy or standoffish. And you could always try to breed your BBW hen to a small Tom, and keep her a diet to allow to live longer.

If surprise isn't a girl I would be surprised! All my hens will fan their tails and strut about. We tell them how pretty they are and they do it again. I personally think they are flirting with us as everytime a tom comes near them they get mad. Can't wait til surprise starts squatting for you. Then you will be sure she's been flirting.

Mine will fan her tail when my rottweiler get TOO obsessive at bothering her.
