I have a tiny Black Sex Link chick that is about 1 week old. She is to small does t seem to of grown at all! She can’t seem to stand on her own, and keeps her eyes closed. If I pick her up she will open them but shuts them again. I have to put her up to the water and she will drink on her own, she will eat a little on her own (feeding Purina starter/grower crumbles). She will almost run with wings out but then seems weak and falls asleep with the wing out. Almost on her side. I pulled her out of the bin where the week old chicks are and put her in the other with the 4 day old chicks and she seems better. They do lay close to her when they sleep. I do have heat lamps on them. I am putting electrolytes & Antioxidant for poultry by Purina in their water. That seemed to help get rid of her mustard colored runny poop.
I have attached a pic. She is the black one by the little feeder. Any help would be appreciated.

I have 2 of 26 silkies doing that exact same thing. These hatched on 4/2. I put them back in the incubator at 99.5F They've both slept about 8 hours solid.

When I take them out later tonight, I have some raw egg yolk with a few drops of NutraDrench in it. I'll put the syringe to their beaks and they'll drink a little of that. Then I'll put them with the rest and see how they are doing. Usually, when I've done this in the past, you can't even pick them out after this.

You said heat lamps as in plural. If you don't have an incubator, can you take one of those and put them in a box by themselves?

I have 2 large totes each one has its own heat lamp. I do have a heat plate I started with but they seemed to comfy. That’s about the time this one acted this way. To cold? Should I take her away from the others and use the heat plate? It has feathers around the edges

I think it is too cold for that one, but the others were fine, so it's weaker than they are. It's up to you, but I wanted mine to get some sleep as standing there puffed up, they kept getting knocked over.

Hi everyone! Wanted to give an update on my weak chick. She’s hanging on! I moved her to her own space with the heat plate. I’ve fed her fresh egg yolk with electrolytes and probiotics water mixed in and fed her with a dropper. She took it pretty good and even opened her eyes. I have water and food in her space as well. So for now fingers crossed and just hope for the best. Thank you all for the advise and positive vibes.

Good morning. Wanted to let everyone know my little chick died this morning in my hand. I tried so hard to save her. I know it’s part of farm life but it still hurts my heart. Thank you all for the advice it’s greatly appreciated.
My poor little Pee Wee. 😔😭
