Update: I am sorry to say the chick just passed away. I did my best to help her. I guess I need to get my self a incubator.
So I was hatching a bunch of silkie eggs under one of my broody hens. Well after 3 eggs hatched she did not want to sit on the last one that I knew was a live. Well I took the egg and tried my best to keep it warm, well it started to hatch and something happened. I dont know if my cat did it or what. But the egg had a huge spot that got smashed were the baby had made a hole. Thank god it was the air bubble and nothing looked like it touched the chick. Well the chick came out, but it needed help. So I helped it along but it seems weak. His eyes are open now and he chirps here and there. I have a 60 Watt bulb on him around a foot away. He seems warm but not hot. Its been around a day now and he seems not to be able to stand. HELP? Super weak, I did give him a little bit of sugar water hoping it might help.
