Weak Chick..Help!

I think that's the last of the egg yolk that didn't get absorped. If you keep her away from the rest, that should disappear in a day or so. I could be wrong though. Anybody?

Ok, so she is no better and I am considering putting her down. She is just whining all the time. I can force her to drink but she still won't eat. I don't want to make her suffer..

I would just give her a little more time. My blind pullet was like that, she wouldn't eat or drink on her own and she cried all day long. She's 14 weeks old now and as strong as the others. Sometimes babies just need our help. Don't give up on her. You just got her today, you need to give her a chance.

Boil and egg and cut out the yolk. Mix the yolk with water so that it's a mushy paste. Feed her that through an eye dropper or medicine seringe (spelling). That's what I did to keep my blind chick alive.

I just noticed your picture. I would call the hatchery and see if they have any clue what that is.

Post a pic in the emergency section so more people will see it, someone has to know what that is.

Ah, I anwered in your other post :p. Since it's dry now it's not going to get asorbed any more. Chances are if she makes it, the thing will form a scab and fall off in a few weeks. Be careful forcing it to drink water, you can easily drown a chick on accident that way.
