If you plan on hatching out, or allowing your hens to hatch out, any more eggs, you really ought to get some B-complex vitamins (even human B-complex WITHOUT IRON will do). B-vitamins are water soluble, so what they cannot use once ingested is expelled with their urates. (They cannot overdose on it). It is not uncommon for birds to be born deficient in B-Vitamins, often presenting in weakness or splaying of the legs. If not treated promptly, the deficiency can result in lifelong deformity or insufficient strength in the limbs to 'keep up' with the flock, which often leads to being picked on, which can lead to a depressed bird and/or ultimate death. Trickle down effect in action.
Plain sand, not dyed or "washed" (with chemicals)... the cheap stuff at the hardware store works wonders for chicks. I'd normally suggest a clod of dirt from the back yard, but that comes with it's own risks... namely coccidiosis... She's already at high risk due to her poor health. The eggs and one-celled parasitic coccidia are in the soil everywhere, all countries, and there are several strains... Since your baby *already* has health issues, I don't recommend risking plain old dirt right now. If you can't get to the store for sand, I'm assuming you cannot get there for the medication to cure coccidiosis either...
I'm happy to hear that momma is snuggling them, as her warmth is so much better for them than a light bulb or heat lamp/pad.
