Weak chick

Hello

I had a couple of day 15 coturnix chicks hatch out and one of them is golden yellow with badly splayed legs. It moves and shakes a lot but it is doing the splits for almost a day now. It cant walk which means it wont be able to reach the food and water. Will it be ok?

It may need leg splints. There are articles about how to do that here. I hope this helps!

Definitely hobble to correct the presumed splay leg (pics would help) ASAP, as time is of the essence with this particular condition. I'd also try to get the chick to drink water with a supplement like Nutri-Drench, Sav-A-Chick or the like to help it grow stronger and potentially address deficiencies. Also, I'd confirm that it's staying warm enough because young chicks are very easily chilled. Best of luck!
