Weak Chick

I just got my Cornish Rock chicks today, and one of them is very weak, in that, it can't stand up on its own. I searched on here to try to find out what's wrong, but I can't figure it out. Instead of standing on its feet, it leans to its one side and rests on its legs unlike the other chicks. Instead of placing its weight on its feet, it kind of "sits" on its "knees" - where the legs connect to its body. If its not leaning on something, it tends to fall over backwards or to its side. It's obviously the runt, as it isn't as fluffy and is smaller than the others. We've been feeding it sugar water with an eye dropper, but it doesn't want to eat any of the starter. We've tried putting the food on tooth picks and other small things, but it doesn't eat it. It's separated from the other chicks so they don't trample it and it doesn't fall in the water. My other concern is that it can't drink or eat on its own (and I'd have to feed it during the night), plus has no way of moving away from the light if its too hot.

I thougt it might have spraddle, but the bandaid doesn't seem to help at all. So, thought I see if someone knows what's wrong. I'll attach pictures when I get the chance.
Thanks for your help.

Oh, one more thing. When we first got this little one home, it could hardly peep. Now, it peeps just like the others and it does seem a little bit stronger now, although it still can stand up by itself.

Sometimes the chicks just get behind, and need a little more help. Let me see if I can find an older post with info to help you...

Okay here's a similar post:

Don't give it any more sugar (or any kind of sweetener), just crumble, and maybe cooked egg yolk for a boost. Try making the crumble finer, and tapping his beak into it. Also make tapping noises with your fingernail on the feeder to try and get him to figure it out.

I have the same problem as myfivegirls.Me and my mom's bantam chicks came today. When we put them in there brooder six of them were just fine. Two were a little wobbly. We tried giving them water/food.One got a little better the other one doesn't really open its eyes and just sits there. Then we separated those tw:hmmne was getting the better by the second but still not well enough to go in with the others. The other chick isn't getting betters or worse. My mom took a chick from a different cage and put it in with the two weak ones.Lucky us the really weak one followed the new chick around.Eating with it,Drinking with it,even sleeping next to it.Its doing better but it will only open its eyes every so often. Is there something me and my mom can do?

I just learned from another BYC member that giving them whiskies mariners catch pâté.. Let them eat for about 5 min.. It is loaded with protein. I'm using it now to boost 2 new chicks I have that are week..
