Weak chick

Just got my first 5 hatchlings yesterday. They are a day old. Four are doing great, but one doesn't move. This is from the moment I got her home and out of the box. At first I thought she had been too hot in the car on the way home, but there's been little to no recovery. She just lays around like she's sleeping, and pooped a small bit of blood. I'm thinking she's too young to have contracted a disease. Do some chicks just "not make it"? Anyone have any suggestions what the problem could be? I'll continue to check other threads for more info.

Bloody poop sounds like coccidia to me. I would separate her immediately. Give her electrolyte water or sugar water and medicated feed.

She might be too young to have gotten cocci but I wouldn't chance it.

She didn't make it
I think she may have been a 'late hatcher' and just didn't develop well enough during incubation. Sad, but I'm excited about the four that did make it. They're doing great! Definitely looking forward to seeing them develop!
