weak hen help

If she was getting sick or weak from molting, and spent the night outside in the cold, that might have made her weaker. Check her crop and tell us if it is empty, full, hard, doughy, or puffy. Recheck it early in the morning to see if it has emptied overnight. Get some electrolytes with vitamins, or some Poultry Nutridrench into her. Keep her warm. Check her again under the vent and belly for any lice or mites. Pictures of any abnormal poops may help.

If you are using Corid, vitamins should not be given. I would probably get her drinking some electrolytes and vitamins, and then switch to Corid if you like. Mushy chicken feed with a lot of water and some egg should be offered.
yesterday her crop was totally empty. shes eating a bit here and there. I have her in a box with food and water. shes not standing at all. I will take pics of her butt.

Have you recently added any new birds to the flock? Was she vaccinated for Mareks disease? Does she have any toe curling, green bruising or swelling of the bad leg? A chicken sling or making a nest for her to reach food and water may be helpful while she is not able to walk. Here are some examples:

also there are alot of those pesky little sparrows in there. i have tried bird netting but they find every little crevice to get in.

Molting is hard on them. When I have seen an illness, it has been during a molt or very cold winter weather. Hopefully, she will start eating better, and become more mobile. Hens can have reproductive disorders, cancer, and crop disorders.

She is guzzling down water
Her vent looks a little swollen
does this look like frostbite?
she seems to be limping. maybe she ssd prained a leg. nothing seems broken.
No, it doesn't look like frostbite. It looks like scabs from injury/pecking and plucking. The back of her head is sort of plucked. Do you have a rooster or have you noted other hens mounting her and plucking?

Guzzling water...I would still re-check the crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink.

I agree, she may have some reproductive issues going on that is causing some of her symptoms.
Hopefully she will start to improve with some TLC.

Keep us posted, I am watching your thread now.
so my hens was really weaker than what she was. not eating or drinking. Her crop was empty. my husband and i decided to put her down.😥 A very hard thing for me to do. They are my babies. When you hand raise them they are more than just chickens. She just looked like she was suffering too much. And not knowing if she would recuperate, seemed selfish to try and keep her going. Very sad day for me.
