Weak molting hen New symptom *pics added*

I am afraid that with the power outage she did not make it

I lost all of my sick birds, a Silkie with crook neck, and her due to the lack of heat and stress of being sick...
She died curled up in her little white blanket, snuggled underneath it with her head under her wing as she tried to stay warm...My poor princess...

I thought you must have had some emergency on your hands. When it rains it pours....

My hen who is currently molting and looks just awful but is still eating like a horse, has the same type of feces as you just described. very dark and lose and extremely rancid, smells like my cat's. So I would say that is a normal molt symptom. I almost took her to the vet thinking she had a parasite but then discovered upon picking her up, which wasn't easy because she is very grumpy now. But upon picking her up I noticed a huge amount of pin feathers sprouting from her chest and around her neck this morning. So I cancelled the vet, realizing now that she is just molting.

Thats AWFUL! I'm crying now. As much as I hate the AZ summers I'm kida thankful for the AZ winters. I'm so sorry that happend. :'-(
