I have an 11 week old Salmon Faverolle pullet who has weak legs. She got lost in 100 degree temps for a day about 4 weeks ago and when she returned she was very dehydrated and weak. She could not open her feet well and was off balance. I gave her electrolytes and she recovered after 2 days, but she now stumbles and is often off balance. Today she seems very unstable and puffed up. She's eating a little, but very lethargic. Any ideas on how to help her perk up? I've been giving her vitamin b12, but it hasn't made any difference.

How does her poop look?
Was she vaccinated for Marek's?

It's possible she could have Coccidiosis. Cocci can cause weakness/lethargy, not eating, diarrhea with mucus or blood, loss of balance, and puffing up, and is treated with Corid in the water for 5 days.

Corid dosage 1 1/2 teaspoons Corid powder per gallon or 2 teaspoons of 9.6% Corid liquid per gallon
Give for 5-7 days - make sure this is the ONLY water available during that time period. Mix a fresh batch at least once a day.

After treatment is finished offer some poultry vitamins and probiotics/plain yogurt.

Offer her wet chick starter - you can add/offer egg, tuna, mackerel or meat as well.

Hopefully she will respond to the Corid.

Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) is used for leg problems.
