Well i was going to start setting up and getting ready put my new chicks in our mudroom..to my surprise I found this. I thought I heard something yesterday night , I was right. . Lucky we had a trap. Im praying she was the only one..yes she is dead.

An ermine? In your mudroom? I'm glad you got it before you put the chicks in there.
Can you tell how it got in?

We are not sure how she got in. But she wasnt scarred of humans ..There is so much snow covered her trail.

A couple of days ago, I watched an ermine walk by my house mid-day. I haven't seen it again nor any tracks in the fresh snow we seem to getting every few days. I'm hoping that my secure coop, and the size of my Muscovy ducks made it realize there are easier pickings elsewhere.
