I just lost.2 chickens in a days to a weasel. Argg!My chickens have never had Problems while they have been in the barn.now 2 of '-my favorites have been killed. both were killed by Injuries to the neck. the one I found this morning was killed in a cage with 4 other birds. this thing is killing for fun!! the one I found this morning Just had the back of this neck from the back of his skull to the middle of his neck Ripped off ! I am working on a trap tomorrow for that scum! All the birds in the barn are my bantams that I breed and show. The bantams are now in the coop outside of the barn in a crate(so the standards dont attack them),

OP......where are you located? In general..... (state or region if nothing else)

Are you aware of, or see evidence of, rats and/or mice in and around your chicken housing? Or other furry rodents?
new England, we have mice and chipmunks but no rats

Weasels are cruel things, killing based on movement, not hunger. They are very small, make sure no hole in the coop/run exceeds one half inch. Don’t use chicken wire!
So sorry for your losses, my two favorite passed away this year too :hugs
