I got introduced to my flock by rescuing a rooster from a coworker who was going to put him in a stewpot, because he was bullying her bantam rooster. Then 2 Rhode Island Reds were introduced, and later 1 silverlaced Wyandotte, 1 barred Plymouth Rock, 2 Ameracaunas, and 1 Maran (?) complete my little flock. There was some trial and tribulation, getting to this little group, and I learned a hard lesson in bringing in hens from an outside source....I am so glad I found this site, and look forward to many happy hours here.
