So, I have it kind of on a split screen right now because the Lavender Americauna chicks are soooooo cute. On the left though, you can see one of my eggs has a pip.

The eggs in the bator are BLRW. The one that has pipped pipped at the wrong end. lovely.

What do you do if it pips at the wrong end?

I've found what works best is to sit here and fret, but not touch anything.

My last batch, I had a chick that pipped at the wrong end, and she hatched out fine with no intervention.

Three have pipped now, but the one in front has made the most progress.

Well, three of the chicks were very naughty and hatched while I was sleeping.

The final two are pipped (one of them has been pipped an awful long time, and I may help it a little bit once the other one is done).

One is about halfway zipped, and I expect it'll hatch within the next 20 minutes or so.

I'm sad that three of my chicks hatched in the middle of the night, and I missed it!

This was awesome, we're getting ready to set up our incubator and this really helped my 5 year old understand what was going on. She loved it this morning because we were watching as one of the chicks hatched. She was so excited about it she told her class and teachers about it as soon as she got to school.
