Hello! Happy New Year! I am losing my little tired mind!! How are you today? Ughh! I am so going to need to build or purchase a better incubator because this crazy with temp fluxuations! It is really gonna be sad if I have killed the eggs at the 11th hour!!

I am definitely paying for my antics today...I have quite the headache and am having to watch the thermomenter again as it is running really low...I have a quilted blankets around this thing...just enough room to see in one of the windows...why won't this thing stay at one temp??? It is 98.4! I actually am contemplating the idea of calling a friend to come over to babysit the eggs so I can get outside and maybe ride my bike to the market just to get some air and a tiny bit of exercise. When I move my chicks from the Sportsman to the hatchers I actually lower the temp a little for the last 3 days.

If you were alive in Chicago here in the late 70s, you would know why...the late John Wayne Gacy did quite a bit of volunteering as a clown. Clowns everywhere suffered after that. Some people just find them scary anyway.

I think I will write one..... any suggestions??? I did a short story poem on my Rooster and pics and all... and then he died christmas eve, did you see it? I was devestated. Still dont dont know what was wrong or if he got into styrofoam, styro is EVIL to chickens.... MAYBE I should write about that one, after that I have had others tell me they also lost chickens to this!!! poor things

do you have any corn or cracked corn or even rice?? maybe you can put some in a pillow case and microwave for a few seconds to heat up and place at the side of the bator to help????
