To quote one of my avian vets "foamy poop usually means Protozoa".
How would my one week old chick pick up Protozoa?

Coccidiosis is quite common in young chicks, it seems to thrive in even the cleanest brooders.
Your chick does not have cecal worms nor blackhead. Incubation time for blackhead alone is 15-21 days...wont happen in a week old chick.
Switch to non medicated chick starter and treat them with corid. It'll be in the cattle section at the feed store. Duramycin is mainly used for respiratory diseases, I dont recommend using it.
Corid 9.6% liquid solution or Corid 20% soluable powder. It'll be in the cattle section.Well my feed store gave me the Duramycin 10, which is not the correct antibiotic. What would you recommend for coccidiosis?
