We sometimes offer the chick starter as a treat with a little water mixed in. The water is absorbed by the feed. They love it and it's been very useful as a distraction.
This time we removed the moistened feed when they started sneezing.
The chicks also seemed to be getting some food stuck to their beak in their enthusiasm and then were wiping their beaks off on the wood shaving bedding.
We have not had any issues with sneezing before and their breathing sounds normal.
Is damp starter unsafe?
Should we be worried?
