Week old chicks under broody hen

So last night i attempted to switch the 6 eggs my australorp she was sitting on with week old isa/leghorn chicks. Removed her eggs at around 8pm (night) checked her this evening and this is the picture success

That is so sweet!! I had thought week old chicks were too old to give to a broody... so glad it worked for you!

They are closer to 10 day old chicks so yeah i was amazed she accepted them as her own.
