Weird activity .

Hey everyone.. I went into the barn and noticed that my peahen who is a year old pecked off the head feathers of my male peacock who is 2 1/2.. lately she is also started to put up her tail feathers and do her mating dance. Help !

Some hens over preen the cock in the pen. Part of the mating ritual is the cock bowing to the hen to show nonaggression. They bow down and gently shake the head from side to side while puffing up the daddy bump on the back of the head. Some hens will preen the cock and some will eat all the crest feathers.
