Weird/ Antisocial Chicken

Hello everyone! I have a beautiful black ameraucana that I got about a month ago from a friend along with another barnyard mix chicken. The ameraucana is probably a little older than 6 months (8? 9?). The problem is that she is so WEIRD. She never wants to be around the other chickens and currently spends the majority of her day in the 10" space under my coop. At night she doesn't roost, she sleeps in a nesting box on the floor. She seems healthy besides her strange behavior. Once in a while I get a small egg from her. Could this be indicative of an illness I don't know about or is she just a weirdo?

How old are the rest of your chickens? How many do you now have and how big is your coop and run in sq feet?
It sounds like typical "bottom of the pecking order" behavior.
It may be she just needs more time to develop some confidence and for the others to accept her if she is much younger than them.

My other hens are definitely older by 6 months or so, but one is a bantam mix so she is smaller than this chicken. There are now just 4 total (I just lost two to a dog). Their coop is 8x8 and they are basically free range, the fenced in area is about 36' by 48'. She is definitely a shy girl anyway so it makes sense that she could be at the bottom of the pecking order. Thank you!
