WEIRD BEHAVIOR ON DUCKLINGS!! HELP

I recently got my ducklings about 1 week ago. (i got 2) And I’m trying to figure out their genders. The darker one always whines when the other isn’t around. Today I was cuddling them and one out it’s neck around the other one. Why did it do that? Does that mean that it might me a girl and a bout and like each other? or do ducks normally do this? PLEASE HELP!!

They are tightly bonded to each other hasn’t anything to do with their sex at their age. They sure are adorable

Ducklings really need that cuddling! A single duckling would be really, really unhappy if nobody else is there to cuddle. Even if there is plenty of room to run around and it is warm everywhere, little ducklings will pile up. It is their way to feel save.
And your little duckies are really adorable! Sometimes they use each other as pillow. My grown ups do that sometimes too with their close friends.
