Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.

My yellow crested hen (i dont know what breed) hatched 5 chicks she raised them for 4 weeks then suddenly started laying after laying she comes back to her chicks she had layed 10 eggs and she is still raising chicks is that ok
