Weird , but seems to work

We have unfewnced 2 acres , have never fenced garden and we are surrounded by woods and fields with lots of wild critters in the mix. We have never fenced our garden and have never had rabbits , coons or any other pest bother it. I make sure to walk our dogs around the perimeter of the property to do thier buisness and when I comb them i save the hair and spread it around the boundreis and around the garden. My husband saves his urine in a milk jug and pours it around the boundry too , I knoww ewwwww. But because we eat meat , wont work for vegitarians or vegans , it will keep most animals away because they sense pedator . Marking territory is a natural and safe way to protect to some extent , I know it will not work with the large predators or flying predators but it sure seems to have helped our little corner of the world.

lol, well that is a neat way of keeping the animals at bay! Makes sense, other animals pee for their territory. LOL its not gross but kinda funny! Not a bad idea though, but I'd be too lazy to save all that pee and hair, I'd probably just have a fence!

But if one couldn't afford to build a fence right away, or is willing to go through the hassle, I really do think its an interesting idea! Quite the all natural alternative! And better than having to shoot, trap and kill things, too, if you don't have to. Who knows, maybe it does work with bigger predators, I'm sure they would find it very threatening.

I did something similar to stop my neighbors' dogs from digging into our yard. We were being "attacked from 3 sides. Basically, every time they started digging under the fence I would fill my side of the hole they had dug with my dog's poop. I think only one dog kept digging and then it was only once. Added benefit: immediate notification that your dog is digging into my yard by smellogram. I recently told my neighbors to the side of me whatI had done to stop their dog from digging towards us and she was actually relieved that their dog had been stopped. Now, as for my own dog, when he dug I again used his own poop. They don't like digging in their own or other dog's poop apparently.
