Weird Chick down feathering out white

This is the third chick I have hatched out like this. The other two are a couple weeks older and have feathered in completely white.

To me that's ambiguous. I can't tell whether OP is saying there are only three chicks from these parents all with the same colouring, or there are three chicks among others with this colouing.

There are 6 chicks from this pair. 3 with yellow down and one head spot and then 3 like this. The other two that looked like this have already feathered out pure white. I can get pictures but they look no different NOW than the yellow downed chicks. Hopefully that makes sense.

Heres the chick with its full sibling.

And heres it's other two siblings

There is no chance of a mix up considering they all hatched from the only blue eggs here and the parents were penned alone.

White JG are recessive white.I think both mother and father are carying recessive white and when babie has 2 copies you have dark down, when is one copie or non, Dominant white take over and you have white down

That is soo cute a spelling ticket. But anyways I am having the same thing with my chick his down is like a tan or greyish color and yet is feathering in white.

My explanation is similar to Ve.

Mom is heterozygous (split ) for dominant white (I/i+) and homozygous for recessive white (c/c). The male is heterozygous (split) for recessive white (C+/c).

The offspring from this cross could be i+/i+ no dominant white and c/c recessive white or the gray chicks that turn white.

The white chicks or white chick with spots carry one dominant white gene (I/i+) and are c/c or C+/c.

The down color of recessive white chicks is hypostatic (hidden) to the down color of the dominant white gene. In other words, the dominant white gene removes any gray down that would be found in a recessive white chick.
