Weird Cochin Behavior

I have a black cochin hen named Ralphie (I know it is a strange name) and every time I walk into the pen, she looks up at me and starts bobbing up and down, then she flies at me. What is going on?

I've known Ralphie to be sort of dumb...

I NEED HELP!!!

How old? Sure it aint a roo? Thats behavior of one anyhow in my opinion

I'm sure it is a hen... Ralph is never mean, when i pick her up she sits there and clucks sweetly, and wiggles a little if she wants to get down. And if she was a roo, she also would've crowed yet. I had another chicken her age and it started crowing a month or so ago.

Is Ralphie trying to get onto your shoulder? Maybe she is just being overly friendly?

I was also going to say maybe she just wants your attention, and that's how she is sure to get it!!

Hmmmmm... Well, I did put her on my shoulder and she enjoyed it very much. Do you think that is why she is acting so weird?
