Well I thought I was coming to a end of the dumped kittens and cats I have had to take care of and then give out to the animal shelters. The last batch I had to take care of were much younger and were still needing bottle fed. Now we have six kittens!!! Mom came around after a while. I assume they are all the product of ones neglect. But this one little boy has some really crazy coloring. Its under coat is pitch black and its top hair is white. It almost looks like it was a black cat in a snow storm. I have never seen a cat that looked like this ever before. Thought I would see what you all thought about him. And maybe see if anyone has a cat like this. I hope I had the camera settings right. Here they are

What a little cutie! I know nothing about cat coloration, but there are lots of good cat people here that will know. I've never seen a cat like that before. Do you think he'll stay that way or is it kitten fluff?

we had a cat years ago with similar coloring. it was a himalayan mutt of some sort. here she is with a fresh summer hair cut.

the fur was very thick and matted easily.

here's a picture without the hair cut.

I see the difference between the cat shown above but that is common for that breed. I have never seen a totally black cat with frosted white tips. I dont know if it will stay that way or if it is just kitten fluff. It is pretty crazy if you ask me....

I've seen kittens like this before. They were all mixed breeds, but they all had a little siamese or ragdoll in them. Very beautiful kitten.

I've had kittens like that before and after they've gotten their adult coat they've been black with not much of the frosting left. I do agree that they've probably got some siamese in their ancestry somewhere.

Too bad you are so far away..... I wouldn't mind snuggling up with that one. Are you going to keep him or try to find a home? How sweet of you to be all these little kitties mom!

How pretty that color is and I would have to agree with the other posters because that was the first thing that came to my mind as far as breeds but who knows. He would be gorgeous if he stayed like that.
Are you sure you do not have a sign somewhere that says ALL homeless cats and kittens stop here?

A lot of black cats go through a silver stage in coloring I have noted. Esp ones that as adults the coat is real black. Wish they stayed that silver color but unfortunately they don't. I think all 7 of our foster kittens at work went from black to silver to black.

Love kitties but I do not need another one. Too many now.
