Hello!
I’m currently out of the country, and have my birds being taken care of by family. I just got a text that two hens have died. One, wasn’t too much of a surprise. She was a 2014 Hatch, and was losing weight, so I knew her time was coming. The other though, is a younger hen. I was told she had jumped out of her pen when letting them out for the day. She landed, flapped her wings, and fell over. It seemed like she just landed wrong but she was dead in the driveway about 40 minutes later. She wasn’t acting strange, and had been making noise all day and especially when she had laid an egg the day before. She is a year old old English Game Bantam hen. Any ideas?
